I've always been wildly curious about systems, and there's no system more complex than the human body. That curiosity took me all the way to a master's in neuroscience.
Then my own body fell apart anyway: prediabetes, Stage 1 obesity, and a body that wasn't listening to anything I already "knew." Turns out a neuroscience degree doesn't override the knee-jerk reaction to follow the diet culture.
